A huge Hollywood star is set to appear in a bread advert, with the actor to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Ocean's Eleven star George Clooney and Goodfellas icon Robert De Niro.

Warburtons is a British bread brand who manufacture and sell the likes of loaves, crumpets and rolls, with the company often enlisting the help of major stars to appear in their television adverts. And now the latest big name has been revealed, which will likely leave fans of this esteemed actor in a frenzy.

According to reports, the Bolton-born bread company have signed Snakes on a Plane star Samuel L Jackson, who is also known for starring in Pulp Fiction among many other blockbuster hits. And Samuel is set to pop up on British TV screens up and down the country very soon.

The Sun reports today that Samuel, 74, has signed a "six-figure deal" with the family-owned bakery that was established in 1876. With an insider spilling that the company "bagging" Samuel is a "another coup" after their successes with other huge stars.

The company has previously bagged big names from Hollywood who have starred in adverts, with Robert De Niro playing the role of a Mafia boss in 2019. George Clooney popping up in an ad in 2021 as himself. And Sylvester Stallone playing an action hero delivery driver.

The insider then added: "Watching celebs popping up in the company’s HQ in drizzly Lancashire when you normally imagine them in Tinseltown captures shoppers’ imaginations. And the the ads are funny and imaginative so the stars keep credibility." Samuel is set to follow in the footsteps of Sylvester Stallone, Robert De Niro and George Clooney, with him due to catapult onto screens in the coming weeks and months.

According to the paper, Samuel was spotted in London filming the Warburtons advert, with him said to be seen driving a orange lorry plastered in the British brand's logo.

This isn't Samuel's first appearance in a British advert, with the star known for reprising his role as Nick Fury, an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D, the fictional spy agency from Marvel comics, to promote broadband company Sky back in 2014.
