'My daughter’s doll is possessed like Chucky – now I'm riddled with bad luck'
A paranoid dad is convinced his daughter's doll is "possessed" like horror movie toy Chucky.
Christian Hawksworth said he has been riddled with bad luck ever since the £3 doll arrived, including his appendix exploding.
His five-year-old daughter Violet has warned her dad the doll - named 'Normand' - doesn't like him.
On top of his medical emergency, Christian, 48, has also been shot, seen his car brakes fail and his salary severely reduced - leaving him sure it is all down to Normand.
The Chucky character first appeared in 1988 US horror comedy film Child's Play, spawning a series of movies.

He is a serial killer who continually escapes death by performing a voodoo ritual to transfer his soul into a 'Good Guy' doll.
During the car ride home last October, when Violet first got Normand, she warned Christian: “Normand doesn’t like you, Daddy.”
The following day, Christian's appendix ruptured leading to a near-fatal infection and meant a week in intensive care.

The construction recruiter had a row with his little girl and tossed the doll across the floor. The next day, his brakes failed as he drove up a hill.
Dad-of-two Christian, from Sheffield, told The Sun: “I start hurtling down at 40mph and managed to steer and handbrake into the side of the road to avoid killing me and other people.
“The car was written off with catastrophic engine failure.”

Over Christmas, his 88-year-old mum swung the doll around, despite warnings from Violet.
A few days later she suffered heavy nosebleeds and had to go to hospital.

Christian read about the occult during his time at university and is sure Normand is possessed.
He believes things only run smoothly when the doll is "treated well", admitting he is "terrified".
