Natural £1.50 hack banishes flies from your home in minutes - and smells great
As we come into the warmer days, our homes become invaded with pesky flies due to windows and doors being open to cool down.
This simple hack will make sure any unwanted visitors will stay away - and it'll only set you back £1.20.
Citrus oil is a natural fly repellent, so cutting a lemon in half and covering it with cloves - another smell flies detest - will make sure your home is a fly-free zone without having to use any chemicals.
Genius mum Vanessa Schilling took to Facebook to share her crafty hack in the Mums Who Clean page, as others called her 'the master' for discovering the hack.

I cut the lemon in half and place both halves on a saucer with cloves sprinkled on top. I then place it out on my veranda and the majority of the flies disappear within 1/2 hour," Vanessa explained in her post.

Exciting users were quick to respond to the trick, with one commenter saying: "omg I'm stealing this idea".
You can buy a lemon for just 30p in the supermarket, while cloves cost around 90p. Unlike many other fly deterrents, this one is a natural remedy that should smell great too.
People have also taken to TikTok to try the hack and have raved about how effective and easy it is to do.
Jordan Foster from Fantastic Pest Control also told the Express that there's one thing you should never do if you have flies in your home - squash them.
It can be tempting to squish a fly sitting on a countertop with a piece of kitchen towel, but Jordan insisted it can be "unhygienic" to do so, because flies carry bacteria that can spread to your surfaces.
He said: "It can be messy and unhygienic to squash flies. As flies carry bacteria and pathogens on their bodies, these microorganisms can spread when squashed, potentially contaminating surfaces and putting people at risk.
"In addition, getting rid of flies one by one will not be effective. A fly reproduces rapidly, and it will take you a long time to eliminate them one by one."
