Mum fumes after donating kids toys then getting complaint they don't fit in car
It's far too easy for kids to get bored of their favourite toys, as the next new and shiny offering gets advertised on the TV and suddenly their favourite train set, doll or teddy isn't as appealing anymore.
However, when it comes to donating old toys, most of us would assume that the generous offer would be gratefully snapped up by anyone in need.
But one mum has found out the hard way how difficult it can be to get rid of unused toys as she is currently trying to shift a huge play kitchen from her house on Facebook Marketplace. The task has been much harder than she was ever expecting.

Taking to Mumsnet, the woman, who remained anonymous, explained: "Trying to get rid of a play kitchen. It's old but lots of life left. I just need it gone so I've put it up for free.

"Ad clearly states the town I live in and that I can not deliver, it's collection only due to size of the item, measurements are also clearly stated."
She went onto explain she has asked local playgroups and yet she still has no luck but some of her responses have left her shocked.
"Someone tuned up and was angry at me that it was too big to fit in their car (I told them the sizes again when they messaged me and told them that it didn’t come apart). They stormed out calling me a time waster," explained the woman.
On top of that, the woman has received a lot of over the top requests.
"Can you deliver to X town please? - A one hour round trip. Can you keep hold of it until my dds birthday in February, I've got no where to store it.
"Can you post it by courier? (This was to be at my expense at the item was free, it's almost the size of an actual kitchen, there's not a chance in hell)."
In response, many have commented with their suggestions of what to do about the toy.
One person wrote: "Many local charities will collect large items if you ring them."
While another said: "Put it in your front garden with a free sign on it."
