Love Island's Tasha Ghouri calls for more romance amid 'drama and chaos' on show

Love Island star Tasha Ghouri revealed she would like to see more meaningful connections on this year's series after watching endless dramatic storylines.

The ITV2 show has viewers in a chokehold as the contestants from this season's programme have been bouncing from argument to argument.

Meanwhile, Tasha, 24, and her boyfriend Andrew Le Page, 28, met each other on last summer's series and have been going from strength to strength ever since.

Not only did the duo move in together, but they recently adopted an adorable puppy named Luna as they took the next step in their relationship.

During their chat with the Mirror about the importance of adopting, Tasha discussed the 'drama and chaos' in this year's Love Island.

The model noticed how the contestants have been dealing with a lot of drama as they tried their hands in finding a connection in the Spanish villa.

With Molly Marsh being dumped and making a shocking comeback and Kady McDermott previously arguing with Whitney Adebayo about flirting with Zachariah, viewers have been suffering from whiplash while trying to keep up with the fiery scenes.

"I feel like I don't really see any romance kind of storylines like it's just a lot of drama and chaos," she told us in a recent chat. "So it'd be nice to see some actual love storylines."

She added: "It's hard [for the producers] to balance between [drama and love] because I feel like this cast is really good and are big personalities... really good personalities this year.

"I think that's why there's so much tension between the people. Yeah, there are awesome friendships as well which is nice to see that there are strong bonds in there. But we need more love. Obviously more romance in there."

Love Island will only get more dramatic as Wednesday night’s episode promises to be filled with drama regardless as the contestants regroup and couples are asked to reform.

It's only a matter of time before Casa Amor ends and relationships either fizzle or become stronger.

While the contestants worry about their connections, loved-up Tasha and Andrew have been focusing on being the new parents to adorable puppy Luna.

The adoption was 'meant to be' as Luna was originally in the process of getting adopted by another hopeful person.

"It's actually crazy because the first time we asked about Luna she was actually in the process of getting adopted by somebody else," Tasha explained.

"And then [the rescue] came back and said 'Actually, she's available now.' We were so close to getting a different puppy and it was very lucky. It was meant to be basically."

Andrew and Tasha adopted Luna from Alora Dog Rescue in Southern Spain - which is located nearby to where Tasha's father lives.

Discussing the adjustment to having a dog in their home, Andrew said: "All eyes are literally just constantly on her and even when we go into bed, we've got a camera, just in case. We're making sure she's not showing something that she shouldn't be."
