Peter Andre is set to cook up a storm on television this evening, as he joins the latest line-up on the new series of ITV show Cooking with the Stars.

The singer often talks about his parenting decisions for his four children, including his two with ex wife Katie Price.

The I'm A Celebrity star has been vocal on how he parents son Theo and daughter Amelia, who he shares with wife Emily, as well as his older kids Junior and Princess from his marriage to Katie.

From banning Love Island to fighting teen daughter Princess over her outfits and his blanket ban on social media for his youngest two, Peter Andre's parenting choices have been widely discussed as the dad of four talks about raising happy and secure children.

The Love Island ban

Whilst many people across the UK might sit down to watch Love Island in the summer, Peter has put a blanket ban on the programme for 15-year-old daughter Princess.

Speaking to Woman magazine in 2021, the dad of four shared: "I told them 'you are not going on it.

"I don't allow Princess to watch the show, but she's just turned 14 so maybe I'll change my mind."

It seems like not all reality TV is off the cards as Peter predicted that 18-year-old son Junior might want to venture onto I'm A Celebrity like his mum and dad did in the future. Peter explained: "I do think Junior will go on I'm a Celebrity at some point.

"And I get that because he and Princess are the only children to ever have been born as a result of the jungle."

Worries over social media

Like any parent, Peter worries about his children and their safety - especially online. In April last year he opened up in his column for OK!, as he shared: "Lots of people have asked me, 'Why do you let your children on social media?'

"But as a parent, it’s impossible to stop your children doing everything, so we need to have protective measures in place for when they are online so they are safe."

He added: "A young girl might think they’re talking to a young boy, when really it’s an older man. That terrified me and makes me worry about the future with Millie and Theo, too."

Battles over wardrobe choices for Princess

Like any dad to a teenage daughter, what she wears is always going to be a tricky subject to handle. For Pete, he's revealed he sometimes has issues with the clothes his 15-year-old daughter chooses to wear.

Speaking on GB News in February, Peter confessed to not being a big fan of some of Princess' outfit choices but did add that she often ignores his thoughts and wears what she wants to anyway.

Peter said: "I am [strict] but I think I've taken the bits from my parents that I loved.

"But then I've sort of lapsed a bit on things. I mean, for example, when my daughter sometimes dresses in things I don't really want her to dress in.

"But I also think, you know what, every girl of that age is doing that."

Different rules for his youngest children

Peter shares his youngest two children with wife Emily, and adopts a stricter approach for parenting these two compared to Junior and Princess.

For Theo and Amelia, they're rarely seen in the spotlight and kept off Peter's social media entirely.

In addition, Peter has also revealed that he doesn't allow Theo and Amelia their iPads more than twice a week.

Writing in his OK! column last year, he admitted: "We’re very strict with Millie and Theo when it comes to their iPads. They’re only allowed to go on them on a weekend morning and some car journeys, and we never let them have them in the week on school days."

He added: "People complain about technology but I still think kids would always pick the more traditional things over it if we give them the chance.” Emily, who is a NHS nurse, is a "lot stricter" with the kids."
