Commentator Joe Rogan has brutally attacked influencer and actress Dylan Mulvaney on his podcast.

The transgender star has been hit with a huge amount of hate in recent weeks and months after collaborating with beer brand Bud Light. And now she's been branded "mentally ill" in a harsh attack by Rogan.

Bud Light's popularity has plummeted in recent months after they collaborated with Dylan back in April, with a transphobic reaction coming to light amid a backlash from anti-trans individuals, American conservatives and right-wing members of the public.

Singer Kid Rock aided in the instigation of a boycott against Bud Light following their collaboration with the actress, with fresh discourse now being sparked since Joe Rogan and Ice Cube debated the boycott in a two-hour-long episode of Joe's popular podcast.

Taking aim at Dylan three months on from the initial collaboration going live, the episode of Joe's podcast, which aired on June 29, saw Ice Cube ask why Bud Light would "make a dumb decision". With him adding: "Are they trying to ruin Bud Light? Are they trying to take down some of our most iconic American brands?"

Joe replied and said it was down to the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. With him adding: "Take a brand like Bud Light. It's for blue-collar drinking people and they like to watch football and drink Bud Light and then all of a sudden you have this mentally ill person who's just an attention w****."

At the end of April after the backlash began, actress Dylan spoke out about the transphobic attack on her following the collaboration, with her touching on how it affected her and even forced her to not share her identity with her fans..

Speaking to the camera, she said that she felt "very dissociative" amid the backlash, adding: "It was so loud that I didn’t feel part of the conversation, so I decided to take the back seat and just let them tucker themselves out."

Dylan called out the way in which people with right wing views "need to dehumanise" and "be cruel".

She added: "Going forward, I want to share parts of myself on here that have nothing to do with my identity, and I’m hoping those parts will still be exciting to you and will be enough."
