Writing in an EastEnders forum, one Reddit user said: "I think Cindy leaving George, Anna and Gina wasn't her choice I think police found out Lucy was murdered and they didn't know who it was and that it was possibly connected to the Ford's and Cindy so they thought her identity was compromised so moved her.

"Could explain why Cindy left in a hurry recent ep showed Cindy left behind Christening locket with the twins' birth date and that is something that I doubt she would have left the locket behind if she had the time as it probably meant a lot to her."

"Great theory! I think it could be why, it would make sense," another agreed and a third added: "Yes, I think she had to leave, seemingly for their protection, hence George finding her packing a suitcase."

Another fan remarked: "I didn’t think of this but makes perfect sense! So she left to protect them, great theory."

Anna is determined to find out the truth about her mum and her closeness with Ian's son Bobby Beale could provide the key.

If Anna shows Bobby the locket, he may realise its significance if he fails to brush off the date as a coincidence.

Will Anna defy her father and continue her search for answers about her mum?
