Masked Singer's Rhino identity exposed ahead of final with telling clues
The Masked Singer fans have been battling it out on social media ahead of the grand finale of the 2023 series tonight, which will see the final three characters unmasked.
One major point of contention in this series among ITV viewers has been the debate over who could be underneath the Rhino costume.
With the last instalment of the ITV show just hours away, Phoenix, Rhino and Fawn will take to the stage to perform one last time, with host Joel Dommett once again hosting.
Meanwhile the judging panel of Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan will again try to guess their identities as the fourth series winds to an end.
Yet, with theories of who is who rife, The Masked Singer fans are divided on the identity of Rhino – but it seems one camp might have surged ahead in the effort to expose the character’s identity.
Strictly's Molly Rainford and Tyler West fuel romance rumours while on tourWhile there is a strong contingent who believe it is X Factor alum James Arthur, most viewers are certain Rhino is in fact Busted star Charlie Simpson.
The straw that broke the camel’s back came in a recent clue package, when American actors Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn appeared on wanted posters.
This led some fans to link the stars to the film Wedding Crashers, and in turn, the Busted song Crashed the Wedding.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “HOWWWWWW are people still saying Rhino is James Arthur?! It's SO obviously Charlie Simpson!! I don't even need the clues but even they all lead to him. I'm getting so wound up about this.”
A second echoed: “I don't get how the people who think Rhino is James Arthur (or anyone besides Charlie Simpson) are just ignoring all the clues!
“Even if you don't know Charlie's voice as well as we do, like, how are you linking anything to James? Genuinely curious!”
A third added: “I take back my earlier guess of James Arthur for Rhino. After the Owen Wilson photo, wedding crashers, crashed the wedding. Charlie Simpson 100%”
The bookies have also singled out Charlie Simpson as the likely identity, putting him as 1/3 odds, with James Arthur at 4/1, according to Ladbrokes.
Yet Rhino is not a frontrunner to take home The Masked Singer win, as Fawn is the favourite to be crowned as the winner this weekend.
At the moment it's still Natalie Appleton who's fancied to be the voice behind fawn at 2/1, or there's a 4/1 chance it's Alesha Dixon.
Amanda Holden breaks silence on BGT feud as she admits Bruno has 'broken rules'Rhino is chalked up at 3/1 to win, while Phoenix finds himself as the outsider at 6/1.
Jessica O'Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “Fawn has eluded the judges throughout the entire series with her fantastic performances, making her the clear odds-on favourite to win The Masked Singer 2023.”
The Masked Singer airs Saturdays on ITV at 7pm.
