EastEnders spoilers - Kathy & Cindy showdown, Theo exposed & Christmas clue
EastEnders are providing non-stop huge storylines as of late, with the most recent one being the return of Cindy and Ian Beale.
Cindy - played by Michelle Collins - was thought to have died in childbirth, but we have now found out she was actually in witness protection and ended up meeting George Knight. The pair have Anna and Gina together, who recently arrived on the Square and have moved into the Queen Vic alongside George's new partner Elaine and her daughter Linda.
There is also a huge Christmas episode this year, with viewers already knowing that someone will die this Christmas. The internet has been flooded about who might have been killed - and if it was an accident or plain old soap murder!
BBC soap boss Chris Clenshaw - and some of the show's cast - have now given us an insight on what to expect in the coming months ahead of the Christmas death and as Cindy and Ian Beale make their long awaited return to the Square.
Cindy and Kathy showdown
With Cindy's return to Walford, it will no doubt bring some huge drama - especially for Cindy and Kathy.
EastEnders' Jake Wood's snap of son has fans pointing out the pair's likenessPromising "absolute dynamite" when the ladies come face to face, Chris revealed: "Cindy's a little softer through everything that has gone on, after 25 years of living a different identity and living a lie to her other family.
"What comes quite apparent later in the year when she returns to Walford is it doesn't take long before we see flashes of the old Cindy Beale and she still has it, there's some absolute dynamite between Cindy and Kathy. It doesn't take long and it's still the same Cindy at the core, she's just been on one hell of a journey since we last saw her."
Ian and Sharon reunion
Sharon and Ian have had a chequered past, in fact, the last time they saw one another, Sharon was trying to poison him in revenge for what happened to her son Denny and how his involvement in the boat accident lead to his death.
Adam Woodyatt teased there would definitely have to be some conversations between the pair.
He revealed: "There will be a lot of conversations that need to take place and one of the most interesting ones is the process of making carbonara with Sharon. There's also discussing his missing years with his mother.
"There's a lot of water that has to be dealt with. It's going to be fun. One of my lines with Steve [McFadden] is only short, we just say each other's names to each other, and I just knew damn well when we film that, it's going to be hysterical."
Little Mo's return?
Freddie - played by Bobby Brazier - will play a key role in this summer on the BBC soap.
The soap's executive produce confirmed that "Freddie will finally find out the truth about his dad" this summer. Some are convinced this could see the return of Little Mo Slater, who got pregnant after being raped by Graham Foster.
Bobby told The Mirror recently: "I'm going to say for me, EastEnders history is about to go down. Freddie goes through a very revealing, deep, I guess in a way, experience. I think that the fans that have been watching for years, as many of them longer than I've been alive, are gonna really love that. And they're gonna feel a lot of things.
"They're gonna feel everything Freddie feels and they are gonna scream at the TV, saying, 'What are you doing?!'"
Bird charity banned from Twitter for repeatedly posting woodcock photosCindy flashbacks
We know Cindy - also known as Rose Knight - was in witness protection but the specifics around this have not yet been revealed. Michelle has now confirmed that we will find out much more about Cindy's last 25 years in the form of flashbacks.
"She’s had a lot of tragedies in her life. She’s been through this whole witness protection thing. It really is dramatic and we’ve got a few flashbacks, or playing with time. Lucy’s dead, who else?" Michelle teased.
"I’m excited to see all these things played out. I’ve got to explain to my daughters why I went away. It’s difficult. I’ve got to explain to his mum where did I go. I’m exhausted even talking about it. I hope people won’t kind of dismiss her straight away and will just understand what this woman has been through and try and have some sort of redemption.
"But obviously I still want to have that edge to her which I think people want from her."
A cufflinks clue
We know that the cufflinks are very important in regards to the Christmas storyline. All we know about the man was that he has a special set of cufflinks on, and that will be the clue in us being able to identify him.
Chris has teased this will all kick off in the coming months when Rocky and Kathy get to say 'I do'.
"We’ve got Rocky and Kathy’s nuptials and there’s an unexpected guest who arrives and watch out for the cufflinks around this episode," he teased, as fans eagerly wait for the Christmas episode and to find out who has died.
Nish actor Navin Chowdhry has teased more about the now infamous cufflinks.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, he said: "I am aware that Nish is the number one contender to die at Christmas. I think the main clue is to follow the cufflinks. There's some stuff we filmed recently about the cufflinks so look out for that and follow the cufflinks."
Theo's intentions exposed
Theo has been worrying viewers as of late. He has been befriending Lily, supporting her with her pregnancy. He even bought trainers for her and gave her money, as her and Ricky Jr struggled with money for the new baby.
Chris Clenshaw has confirmed we will soon learn about Theo's real intentions and what he's doing. Is he just a nice guy, or does he have some ulterior and darker motives? Fans have suggested he might be wanting the baby off Lily when it arrives, whilst others think he has a different reason to get closer with the Slaters. Whatever it is will be revealed very soon...
