It's Glastonbury Festival time again, with more than 210,000 music fans expected to descend on Worthy Farm over the coming days.

And what a star-studded event it will be, with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Guns N' Roses, Elton John, Lizzo, Lewis Capaldi and Lana Del Rey all performing at the festival this year.

Held across 1,100 acres - roughly the size of 500 football pitches - and boasting more than 100 stages with at least 3,000 performance, the event never disappoints and just seems to get bigger and better.

And the big guns were really pulled out last year, with Sir Paul McCartney ably assisted by Bruce Springsteen and Dave Grohl, as well as other stellar headline sets by Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar.

Glastonbury's roots go all the way back to 1970, when the crowd-puller was known as The Pilton Pop, Folk and Blues Festival.

And while a tickets for Glasto will set you back more than £300 these days, back then it was merely a £1 - and you got free milk from the farm!

Music fans got to see T-Rex, Alan Brown and Steamhammer. The Kinks were meant to play the first festival but pulled out at the last minute.

Over more recent (ish!) years the festival has seen many jaw-dropping performances from a myriad of world class acts including The Smiths (1984), Pulp (1995), Radiohead and The Prodigy (1997), David Bowie (2000), Blur and Bruce Springsteen (2009) Arctic Monkeys (2013), Metallica (2014) and Foo Fighters (2017).

But how well do you really know the festival?

Do you know what prevented the Foo Fighters from playing once? And do you know which headliner was landed with a fine from the local council for playing too long in 2009?

All these questions and more await you in our fun-filled Ultimate Glastonbury Quiz above!
