Pregnant Gemma Atkinson hoses down fiancé Gorka Márquez as they battle heatwave
Pregnant TV star Gemma Atkinson struggled in the heatwave on Saturday - but was more than happy to hose down her fiancé Gorka Márquez and their pet dog.
The 38-year-old former Hollyoaks star is expecting her second child with 32-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka.
The couple - who started dating soon after Gemma appeared on Strictly as a contestant back in 2017 - share a three-year-old daughter named Mia together.
The duo also share two dogs Ollie and Norman - with the four enjoying some time together in their garden as a heatwave gripped the UK.
Taking to social media on Saturday, Gem shared footage of herself in her garden while Ollie and Norman skipped around her.
Greggs, Costa & Pret coffees have 'huge differences in caffeine', says reportThe actress hinted she was struggling in the heat as she waltzed around her grounds wearing all black and while carrying her baby bump.
She captioned the video: "Too hot for doggos and preggos," along with a sweltering emoji.
She then shared more footage that showed Gorka kneeling on the grass while Gemma sprayed him with cool water from a hose.
The star also showered down her pets as the sunshine beat down from above.
It is believed the pair will become parents again before the 2023 series of Strictly begins.
Gemma opened up to Fabulous magazine previously to explain that she expected her new arrival to arrive around Gorka’s dancing responsibilities.
She said: “He is doing the Strictly Come Dancing : The Professionals tour in May, then he’s booked off June and July [around when the baby is due] so we can be at home together. Then hopefully he’ll start the show again in August.
He loves dancing and the whole Strictly family so much, but he’s wary of taking time away from his family. Being together when the baby is born means he can be fully focused on doing the show from August to Christmas.”
More recently, Gemma answered questions from fans via social media when she explained she prefers not to think about her due date.
She said: "I've been asked this a lot but I've specifically asked for a time frame instead of a due date for a few reasons… 1. I think we become too obsessed with that one day.
'I tricked my sister into giving her baby a stupid name - she had it coming'“If there arrive before or after that day we start 'they are late or early panic / anxiety'. So with that in mind I've asked for a 'timeframe'.
"I've been told any time from the back few weeks in June to the front few weeks in July he could be coming. Happier me that way as I'm more chilled and accepting of he'll come when he's ready."
