Zayn Malik sends fans wild with rare selfie as One Direction rumours grow
Singer Zayn Malik has excited fans were a rare Instagram selfie as rumours that One Direction could one day reform continue.
The music star, who left the X Factor band in 2015, shared a captionless snap to his Instagram and his 49.7 million followers on Saturday (17 June).
The moody selfie saw the hitmaker bathed in sunlight as he stared seductively down the camera lens for a snap that sent fans wild on social media.
Fans have flooded the comments section to praise the star for the rare selfie, with one even claiming "What a great thing to wake up to".
In another comment, a follower wrote: "Bro is majestic as always."

Just days before Zayn uploaded a snap from the recording studio as he hinted at future music, which comes just after former band member Liam Payne revealed a One Direction reunion could be a possibility.
Zayn left the boyband in 2015 but the band continued until 2016 before eventually disbanding with all members launching solo careers instead.
In an interview, Liam revealed the former band members were speaking in a WhatsApp chat, which sent fans wild that the band could potentially be talking about reforming. However, it's not been made clear whether Zayn was part of these chats.
Band member Niall also opened up about the group members chatting again as he said: "We've had three or four group chats.
"Some of them have been more quiet than others."
He added to E! News: "This new one is definitely louder than most, and it's been great, Im sure if I had a look at my phone in a few minutes I'd see some messages."
Niall and Louis Tomlinson are said to have joined former bandmate Liam Payne to record a track for his new album, as a source revealed: "Liam is great pals with Niall and Louis, so loved catching up with them while they were all in LA. Being in the studio together felt natural, so they all jumped on a track.

When pressed about a possible reunion during an appearance at a boxing match, Liam refused to comment.
