Eminem's daughter details his role in wedding after fans doubted his appearance
It turns out Eminem was indeed at his daughter's wedding after all despite online speculation he had missed her special day.
The rapper’s eldest daughter Alaina Scott tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Matt Moeller earlier this month in a special "Great Gatsby glam" themed ceremony.
After snaps of the ceremony were made public, fans were quick to question where the Stan singer was with some questioning if he had shunned his child's special occasion as he wasn't noticeable in any of them.
But in a bid to squash the rumours and avoid any further speculation, Alaina admitted her dad was there on the day and had a very special role to play.
"I had an 80-ft long black and white checkered aisle and my dad walked me down the aisle,” she told PEOPLE magazine.
'I'm spending £20k on a new bathroom - but won't help my brother out with cash'"He wasn't going to miss that."
Alaina and her new husband said their personal vows in front of 125 people in Michigan, with Alaina saying the grounds at the Packard Proving Ground Historic museum providing the foundations for her to build her dream wedding.
“Getting married is a sacred thing," she continued. "And we wanted to be surrounded by people who share in our daily lives. We did something super untraditional and didn't allow many plus ones. This was important to us."
As well as her dad walking her down the aisle, Alaina also asked sister Hailie to play a big part in the day, making her maid of honor for the special occasion.
Alaina described how the ceremony was like "something out of a movie," admitting she planned even the finest of details by herself.
The close attention to detail included personalised napkins of the couple's dogs which read "our parents are married".
She also revealed there were 2000 white roses lining the aisle, describing the who scenario as "magical".
Alaina had been dating Matt for seven years before they said their vows. Alaina, 30, who is actually Eminem's niece, was adopted by the rapper in the early 2000s from his twin sister Dawn, who died of drug abuse in 2016.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Eminem explained that Alaina, nickname Lainey, had been "a part of his life ever since she was born."
"My niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born," he said. "Me and Kim pretty much had her, she'd live with us wherever we was at."
'My sister tried to wear a wedding dress to my engagement party - I got revenge'In 2020, he shared that she is "like a daughter" to him and is featured in many of his lyrics, including his hit track Mockingbird, where he references her and his biological daughter Hailie.
