Paperchase to shut its website today as shoppers have hours left to grab bargain

Paperchase's website will close today and shoppers only have a few hours left until its closes for good.

The stationary retailer announced this week that its website will cease trading today, Friday, February 17.

Paperchase told shoppers the news in an email earlier this week and said until the closure of the site, it was to offer at least 30% off "almost everything".

So if you fancy picking up some new notebooks, pens, or maybe some birthday or Mother's Day cards, then you have until midnight tonight to grab the discounts.

Sadly, you will not be able to use a Paperchase gift card on your purchase as those expired on Tuesday, February 14.

According to its website, Paperchase has reduced a lot of its A5 notebooks from £8 to £5.60, and cards have dropped in price to as little as £1.

The majority of items originally priced at £10 have been reduced down to £7, and those priced at £15 have been dropped to £10.50.

Paperchase's standard delivery fee is£3.95 but you can get it for free if you spend £50.

Paperchase says it uses Amazon for its deliveries and it will usually take between 10 to 14 working days to receive your order. You can also have it tracked too.

Paperchase told shoppers that it was with a "heavy heart" that it was closing its online store, and thanked those who gave the brand "support and loyalty" over the years.

The company fell into administration last month and is now in the process of closing its 106 remaining stores which will affect 820 of its staff.

The retailer's physical stores are to remain open for now and at the moment are offering discounts of up to 50% on certain items.

It also told customers that it is to continue to receive new stock for the foreseeable, however, did warn shoppers "when it's gone it's gone".

The retailer hasn't yet confirmed an exact date it will close the physical stores.

Even though Paperchase's standalone store and site are being lost, the actual brand itself is so live on.

This is because Tesco bought the brand's intellectual property and will begin to sell Paperchase products in its supermarkets.

Tesco's managing director of home and clothing Jan Marchant described Paperchase as being a "well-loved" brand and that the supermarket was "proud" to bring its products into its stores in the UK.
