As the UK weather continues to stay gloriously sunny, hanging out in the garden is likely to be on most people's to-do lists this weekend, as well as sprucing up their patio space. To make sitting out in the hot weather that little more luxurious, Argos has slashed the price of a hanging egg chair by more than £300.

Egg chairs have become one of the most in-demand pieces of garden furniture, thanks to their stylish rattan style - with the pieces usually selling out within hours of being launched online. More affordable versions which are seen to go out of stock within minutes, especially like Aldi's 'famous £199' special buy.

Argos has taken £300 off the Habitat hanging egg chair, which would normally cost £600 to buy. The rattan effect chair is now half price, as more than 94% of recent buyers praise the buy for its quality.

One recent Argos shopper said: "This chair is a lovely design, much nicer than many others we looked at. The chair is huge and the box it arrives in is even bigger!

"Love this purchase and it's become my favourite place to relax."

Another shopper commented how they were really impressed with the shape of the chair, they said: "Had been coveting one of these for years and was really worried because only had the photo to go on, but now just love it - oh, and it's big!"

The half-price chair isn't the only egg chair slashed in price today, there's another option for those looking to spend less on the piece of outdoor furniture. Argos has reduced another Habitat, the Kora Rattan Effect Egg Chair, by £36 as it's down to £184. The price is in line with more affordable options often seen at the likes of Dunelm, Aldi and Home Bargains.

The 'rattan effect' chair is made from a steel frame which gives off a wicker-syle but can be kept outside in wet weather, the fitted cushions can be removed to keep from getting damaged in colder, wet weather.

It's cheaper price could mainly be down to the fact it's not hanging, instead shoppers can get cosy in the cushioned 'cocoon'. It's crafted with a curved steel frame and handwoven rattan detail, and is fitted with four white cushions.
