Kelly Brook has sold her 15th century country home for £1.45million after spending years renovating the charming cottage.

The 43-year-old bought the stunning property in 2006 for £975,000, and has spent almost two decades on extensively restoring and upgrading the Kent bolthole.

Kelly’s home is situated in four acres of Kent countryside, and an estate agent listing revealed that a sale was agreed earlier this month for the “immaculately presented” period property.

The Heart Drivetime show host called the renovation project a “never-ending labour of love”, and over the last 16 years has transformed the property into a “refuge” from the bright lights of showbiz.

“This is my refuge, my escape from the world of showbusiness. This place grounds me, almost literally,” she told MailOnline.

The actress and model, who also has a £3 million mansion in north London, shared the three-bedroom cottage with her husband Jeremy Parisi and their beloved dog Teddy.

The stunning Kent home, which dates back to the 1400s, boasts a heated outdoor swimming pool, a bar, a library, an open plan kitchen, and huge gardens that Kelly has tended to herself over the years.

It features an ornamental pond, a hedged maze, an orchard with apple and pear trees, as well as a freshwater spring.

Earlier this month, Kelly spoke about the extensive renovations at the period cottage, and told The Sunday Times Travel it hasn’t been an easy journey.

“I bought a country house 15 years ago because I loved the idea of driving out of the city for the weekend, lighting the fire and putting the oven on when family visit, but you also have to deal with the boiler breaking down and mice in the pantry,” she laughed.

The model told House Beautiful magazine that it’s been a “never-ending labour of love”, but green-fingered Kelly fell in love with the house because of the “magical” garden.

She worked with an architect to get the house back to basics, and revamped the interiors with a “rustic shabby chic” theme.

“I wanted the house to look its age, so I worked with an architect, stripping out the plaster to expose the frame of the house and the original beams,” Kelly explained, adding that the home is energy efficient and has underfloor heating.

She said that when she bought the property, the previous owners had tried to modernise it, but she wanted to lovingly restore all the original features.

“I had it taken back to its bare bones while discreetly having underground heating installed beneath the new elm floors,” Kelly said.
