Confusion as 30ft caravan is mysteriously dumped in road blocking route

Locals ] reacted angrily after a static caravan was left dumped in the middle of a road in North Wales, making access impossible.

Mystery surrounds how the abandoned caravan came to be left in the country lane in North Wales with a local council member saying people are "disgruntled" and have to go the "long way round" to avoid the roadblock.

The caravan was left dumped close to the Berthlwyd Hall Holiday Park in Llechwedd, Conwy, with clear signs of damage.

And more than a month has now passed since the static caravan was left on the road with no indication that it is going to be moved soon.

Notices have been stuck on the windows informing people that it has no association with the nearby Berthlwyd Hall Holiday Park.

It is believed the haulage vehicle conveying the caravan initially broke down leaving the 30-foot static home in the road and has not come back to reclaim it, reported NorthWalesLive.

Local farmers pushed the caravan into the side road after the haulage vehicle had been taken away, and it remains in situ sparking a hunt for its owners.

A member of Henryd Community Council said it was an "inconvenience" and that the council will have to foot the bill for the caravan to be removed if nobody comes forward.

"Local farmers, walkers and people on horses are very disgruntled by having to go through the inconvenience of having to go the 'long way around' the diversion due to the size of the caravan and the road being blocked," said the council member.

"The static caravan is 10ft by 30ft and has come from Nefyn, local authorities have been to the farm in which the caravan had permission to be sited on but the ownership of the caravan is currently unknown.

"It's far from ideal having to close the road, especially with the budget cuts that are being imposed on the council at the moment as they are the ones that are going to have to discard the caravan if the owner doesn't come forward."

So far no date has reportedly been announced for the removal of the caravan by the council.
