Chanelle Hayes has admitted she is "disgusted" with herself as she binge eats with a gastric band.

The former Big Brother star, 35, opened up to her fans in an honest post where she showed a before and after pic of her weight loss.

She candidly revealed that whilst her body has changed, her mindset hasn't.

Chanelle lost nine stone after having a gastric sleeve operation in August 2020, where she went from a size 18 to a 10.

In her post, the other-of-two confessed she was "feeling disgusted" with herself and she was snacking whilst writing the post despite being "full".

She said: "Had a bad day today with my eating. I know many of you follow me because of my weight loss journey and disordered eating so I don’t want to hide that I’ve had a mare of a day when it comes to moderation.

"I’ve binged all day long on everything you can think of.

"Right now I’m feeling disgusted at myself, guilty, out of control, poorly, uncomfortable and angry. But I need to remember this is normal. I can’t just “cure” binge eating disorder with weight loss surgery."

Chanelle continued: "This evening when the kids are in bed I am going to do some of the CBT exercises I’ve been taught to try to regain control of my actions towards food and understand that eating badly for one day or eating certain types of food isn’t “wrong”.

"Even as I type this (being completely stuffed full) I am eating the crusts Frankie left from his pizza. I am not hungry. This isn’t me being greedy… I cannot stop. Why am I doing this? The answer is: I don’t know.

"I need to remember tomorrow is a new day and I do NOTTTT need to restrict food, because that will lead to another binge. I need to look at the day with fresh eyes and from a guilt-free perspective and not beat myself up about the stuff I’ve eaten today.

"Binge eating disorder accounts for up-to 22% of eating disorders (Hay et al., 2017). I’ve never heard of a doctor diagnosing it so I would go out on a limb and suggest it’s probable that many cases are unreported so this 22% could be much higher.

"Wanted to post this to raise awareness about this specific disordered way of eating and expressing that you don’t always have to be super skinny to be struggling with eating issues."

"My body has changed, but my mind remains a work in progress," she concluded.

Earlier this year, Chanelle admitted she fears her skin is "ageing her" following the operation.

She told New! magazine: “I feel like its aging me a bit. I haven’t spoken to a professional yet but I need to look into options.

“I’m all for body positivity and feeling confident in your own skin, but I also believe that each person has their own choice about their body.

"I don’t want to set unrealistic examples to people but I also what to stay confident and happy in my own skin and if that means having surgery to improve my mental health then so be it.”

Meanwhile Chanelle is preparing to say 'I do' to partner Dan Bingham after getting engaged last May.

The loved-up couple, who started sating in early 2021, have kept their relationship away from the public eye and are opting for a "simple wedding".

She even revealed a nifty way of keeping her guest list short to ensure only her nearest and dearest attend.

"Honestly, before if you'd have asked me this 10 years ago, I would have been renting an island like a whole private island," she said on the Secure The Insecure podcast.

"I would have invited people just for the sake of having certain names there.

"Now I'm like chopping people off the list if they've not text me when I've had Covid."
