Harrison Ford is one of the biggest names in Hollywood, but insists he never set out to be rich and famous.

The Indiana Jones star, 80, left the world of carpentry to become an actor, but confessed the switch wasn't money orientated.

Instead, he simply "wanted to be an actor" - and the decision means he is now worth around $300million.

The latest instalment of the Indie franchise is set for release on June 30, and it's anticipated that Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny could rake in over $250million.

The huge flick is also set to land Harrison with a cool pay cheque anywhere in the region of $25million and $65million.

And he admits he has never lost the buzz of the industry, revealing her is "probably enjoy making movies more now than I ever did".

It remains to be seen whether his latest performance as the doc will be his last after he previously claimed he wanted "a final chapter" in the franchise.

Harrison previously told The Hollywood Reporter: "I'd always wanted a final chapter in the story. We first started thinking about it quite a few years ago.

"I wanted to see him diminished and revivified by whatever the storyline was and by whoever the characters were. And when we got the story that felt right to everybody, then we went ahead."

Last month he shared a sweet moment with wife Calista, 58, before the movie's premiere, leaving fans gushing at how "besotted" he still is.
