KSI "would love" football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic to compete in YouTube boxing
KSI has opened the door for Zlatan Ibrahimovic to compete in Misfits Boxing after his retirement from football.
Ibrahimovic, 41, hung up his boots for good last week after more than two decades in football with the Swede winning over 20 major trophies during his career. He broke down in tears whilst being serenaded by fans at the San Siro after AC Milan's final game of the season against Hellas Verona.
YouTube boxer KSI now wants to see Ibrahimovic lace up the gloves to compete in the ring. Discussing the possibility of the Swede signing for his Misfits Boxing promotion, KSI said: "I would love for that to happen, that would be incredible! I've seen him on the bag, he looks like he can bang. Let's go bro, get in the ring. Get in the squared circle mate."

Ibrahimovic may not come from a boxing background, but with black belt in taekwondo he is no stranger to martial arts. The striker has previously shown off his impressive kicks in training videos on Instagram, which caught the attention of UFC legends such as Khabib Nurmagomedov and Jose Aldo.
KSI's net worth rockets after YouTube boxer's successful ring returnFinding a suitable opponent for Ibrahimovic in the ring could be a tough task, with the Swede standing at 6'5" and weighing roughly around 95kg. Ibrahimovic even admitted that if he didn't pursue a career on the pitch, he would have tried his luck at becoming a UFC fighter. "My father wanted me to be a lawyer but I had a hard time seeing me as a lawyer. I'm a huge UFC fan, so probably something within the UFC or martial arts. I would see myself good in that," he told Bleacher Report.
KSI founded Misfits Boxing two years ago and the promotion will host its eighth event next month. Tommy Fury is expected to serve as the next opponent for KSI following the Love Island star's win against Jake Paul in February. KSI was in action last month against Joe Fournier, with his knockout win being overturned to a no decision after stopping the 'boxing billionaire' with an accidental elbow strike.
Fury made a scathing assessment of KSI's boxing skills in a recent video as he said: "What's funny about this is KSI is going to be talking and talking like Jake did in the build-up to it, but the same thing is going to happen. Actually no, not the same thing. He's going to be on the floor because Jake Paul is a little bit more reserved, but this KSI is just gung-ho, wild with no head movement. You can't do against a top fighter and I'll put it in the contract, no elbows."
