Coronation Street's Bill Roache 'couldn't breathe' during epic skydive at 91
Telly great Bill Roache says he couldn't breathe as he jumped out of a plane for an epic skydive weeks after 91st birthday.
The acting legend - Ken Barlow on ITV soap Coronation Street for six decades - wanted to do the adrenaline-pumping jump and vowed to raise thousands for charity.
Taking on the challenge in order to help community causes and homelessness, he kept to his word and took the plunge.
In a clip that was played on Monday’s episode of Lorraine, ITV viewers watched on as Bill leapt from the clouds with his guide - and said all he wanted after was a cuppa!
The record-holding actor beamed as he soared through the air before a parachute cushioned them safely to the ground.

Bill rolled back the years during his incredible skydive (ITV)Veteran Bill admitted after: “Your breath’s taken away, it’s kind of amazing.
“You can’t breathe and it’s quite startling.
“But then when you send the - the parachute opens and you see that glorious view, that’s lovely.
“You just slow it down, you know how birds feel, it’s really wonderful.
Thankfully it was a happy landing! (ITV)“I’m ready for a cup of tea,” the Corrie legend joked before he made his way off the landing site.
Before the dive, Bill said he was desperate for a little adventure.
He said: “You should do what you enjoy doing. As you get older, people bring chairs and say sit down, take it easy… No!
"If you don’t use it, you lose it."
Years mean nothing to Coronation Street star Bill, who aims to still be playing resident Ken when he’s 100.

“While they want me and while I can do it I’ll continue to do it.
“That’s my aim, to be 100 and still working on Coronation Street."
