Gladiators reboot's 'sex and booze ban' sparks major sexual tension on BBC show
The new wave of Gladiators have agreed to a 'sex and booze ban' sparking major sexual tension amongst stars of the forthcoming BBC reboot.
With filming underway at Sheffield's Utilita Arena, contestants have claimed sexual frustration is clearly evident amongst the cast.
The show, which aired between 1992 and 2000 on ITV in its original guise, will be fronted by presenter Bradley Walsh and his son Barney.
One contestant told the Sun: "The Gladiators have all universally agreed to keep things PG.
"They’re professional sportspeople, many from Olympic or league level sports, so they’re treating the show like any other competition - pure professionalism, eating, training and sleeping right - which means no sex and no booze.

The contestant continued: "But of course they’re all fit, gorgeous, and spending a lot of time wearing tiny Lycra costumes. The amount of flirty banter and sexual tension backstage is ridiculous."
The 11-part series will see a new generation of "superhuman Gladiators" compete against a brave set of contenders in the test of speed and strength.
Competitors from the general public will take part in several brand new games alongside classic challenges including fan favourites' Duel, Hang Tough and The Eliminator - the gruelling obstacle course.
