Soccer Aid star Maisie Adam has revealed she married her long-term partner just hours ahead of playing in the charity football match.

The comedian, 29, said 'I do' to fiancé Michael Dobinson ahead of playing at Manchester United stadium Old Trafford on Sunday evening.

Maisie, who has appeared on 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Mock The Week, QI, Have I Got News For You and Would I Lie To You?, competed for World XI to raise money for Unicef alongside Mo Gilligan and Olympian Usain Bolt.

She took to Instagram hours before kick-off to announce her happy news by sharing a stunning pic of the newlywed couple.

Maisie looked gorgeous in her white dress as she beamed walking hand in hand with hubby Michael, who looked dapper in a suit and bowtie.

The couple wed in Brighton and had a stroll along the sea front, before chilling out in some deckchairs.

They had a fun-filled day as they stopped off for a pint at a beachfront bar and topped it off with a stunning sunset picture in front of the pier.

Maisie's simple white dress featured a thigh-high slit and she topped off her look with a white flower crown.

She simply captioned the series of snaps: "We did it."

Maisie was flooded with comments from her celebs pals as Katherine Ryan said: " Cuties in love forever."

Suzi Ruffell commented: "The best day!"

"Congratulations Maisie," added Jamie Redknapp.

The comedian announced her engagement in December 2021 and made her Soccer Aid debut just a day after her wedding.

The North Yorkshire native plays for a local side in Brighton and has become the first female non-professional footballer to feature for the Soccer Aid World XI.

“I’ve wanted to do Soccer Aid for so long,” she told Mirror Football. “I’ve grown up watching it and it’s for an amazing cause.

“I’ve never played a game on a full sized pitch, let alone Old Trafford in front of a massive crowd so it’s amazing. It’s a fantastic way to raise money so I was really stoked when they asked me.

“Then I looked at the calendar and realised it was the day after my wedding day. But that’s how much I want to do it!”

Soccer Aid was back for 2023 on Sunday night, as team England took on the Soccer Aid World XI at Old Trafford.

Soccer Aid is available to watch on ITV1 and ITVX.
