Hollywood actor delivers brutal TV takedown of 'compulsive liar' Boris Johnson
Hollywood star Alan Cumming has branded Boris Johnson a “compulsive liar” in a brutal attack on live TV.
The Good Wife actor, 58, launched a rant as he appeared as a guest on BBC1’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg show.
Blasting the “crazy, toxic pool, cesspit” of the current Conservative Party fiasco, he said the former Prime Minister was “at the end of the line” politically after quitting as MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip this weekend.
His resignation came less than four years after he led the Tories to an 80-seat majority at the December 2019 general election.
Scottish-born Cumming, who appeared in 007 movie Goldeneye, Eyes Wide Shut and Get Carter, told viewers: “We need to talk about the fact that he just lies, constantly.

“I just think that we have got to be more frank about this, that this is someone who is a compulsive liar, who was leading our country for years.”
Asked by TV host Kuenssberg what his character in The Good Wife, political spin doctor Eli Gold, would have handled the current chaos engulfing the Conservative Party, Cummin said: “This would be tough even for Eli.

“I think though what Eli would do, as I think a lot of the Tories are doing, is walk away, back away from the crazy, toxic pool, cesspit.
“There’s nothing to be done.
“It seems like Boris is finally at the end of the line and when you see them starting to eat their own, you know something’s really going down.”
