Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston shares sad news he's taking a break from acting
Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston has shared some sad news with his five million followers, leaving fans totally devastated.
The Walter White actor has "set the record straight" and revealed that he's taking a break from acting when he reaches his 70th birthday.
Clarifying that he is "not retiring", Bryan, 67, took to Instagram on Friday night to share that when he turns 70 in 2026, he's "hitting pause".
"I am not retiring," he assured his fans, before delivering some equally as sad news.
"What I am going to do is hit the pause button for a year after I reach my 70th birthday in 2026. Holy crap - 70," he went on in the caption of his latest post.

Bryan explained how "hitting pause" will allow him to "spend time with Robin (my beautiful wife of 34 years now) in a way that I haven’t been able to in the last 25 years…not as a wife of a celebrity, but as a loving married couple entering into - well, let’s be honest, our latter years, with new hopes and goals and experiences".
He then spoke of how his pause will "reset" his career, with him then gushing over the "unbelievable ride" that he had had for over two decades.
"I could not be more grateful and thankful for such opportunities," he said, adding: "That said, I feel as though I’m beginning to run out of fresh ideas in how to play characters that I’m being offered.
"So exploring a more expanded life experience will give me the chance to replenish my soul and prepare for whatever roles I may be afforded in a more authentic way."

Bryan explained how he wants to read more, with him planning to "dive into the classic novels that I’ve always promised myself I would read but haven’t…" before teasing: "But before that happens, I’ve got some unfinished business."
The Heisenberg star then added that he has a few films coming out soon, with him also producing some television shows too, as well as him returning to Broadway.
He then simply expressed his "deep gratitude" to his fans and urged how he never takes his good fortune for granted.
"I am blessed, and man, do I know it. I wish all of you well…and I’ll see you down the road. Love, Bryan," he concluded.

Fans know and love Bryan for his portrayal of Walter White in Breaking BadFans were quick to support the actor, with many a little upset about his planned pause, but in support of his decision.
"This man has contributed so much to culture. I will fully support any decision he makes," wrote one fan.
While a second wrote: "You deserve a break Bryan. You've been working non-stop for a long time. And we know how much you love your job. But I'm sure there's times where you just wanna wake up and do nothing. Take some time off!!"
"Love you brother," penned Jesse Pinkman star Aaron Paul.
Bryan's clarification came after he made some statements in a recent interview with British GQ that suggested a three-year exit plan from Hollywood and how he could be leaving entertainment for good.
