I'm obsessed with the print

While a summery dress may seem easy to find in most online and high street stores now that the warmer months are in full swing, still some can find it difficult to find a dress to tick all boxes.

River Island has been our HUGE summer inspo store, with plenty of floaty, airy, bright coloured dresses to choose from- and we want them all! This one in particular I had to try because it's my ideal style, shape and colour for summer.

Despite not having actually booked a holiday abroad for this year yet, I'm certain I've found my favourite 'holiday dress'.

For me, dressing up for dinner and drinks while on holiday abroad is a super fun activity. I'd even go as far to say that the getting ready process is sometimes more fun that the actual event - but maybe I'm just a saddo!

Whilst visiting my local River Island, I came across an absolutely stunning midi dress that screamed holiday vibes. The Blue Patterned Kimono Wrap Midi Dress is priced at £45, and since there were only a few left on the rack, I knew I had to try it on.

Online, the dress is currently available in sizes 6, 8, 10, 12 and 18. What really stood out for me was the gorgeous pattern, and the vibrant blue shade of the print.

The dress features a v-neck with a wrap design and flowy sleeves. When trying this dress on, it sadly wasn't available in my usual size 12, but it was available in an 8.

At the time, I thought it was pretty wishful thinking that I'd be able to fit in the dress, but it actually ended up fitting me really well. That's a huge rarity for me when it comes to River Island as I usually find its sizing a little off - so I'd advise anyone looking to purchase this dress should size down atleast once.

Although the dress was slightly tight around the belted detail in the middle, the pattern was certainly forgiving. That means it's a great option for a big meal on holiday, or even better, all inclusive.

The material of the dress was thin and flowy, but not flimsy, which I was really glad about. Sometimes, I can find thin material a little uncomfortable, but I really liked the feel of this soft dress.

Although I sadly, didn't have a lovely bronzed tan to compliment the dress, I think it would be absolutely gorgeous on holiday. I can just imagine sitting at a restaurant abroad with a sea view and a chilled glass of wine wearing this dress - now I just need to get the holiday booked.

You can purchase the Blue Patterned Kimono Wrap Midi Dress for £45 here. A similar dress to this could be this SHEIN VCAY Allover Floral Print Puff Sleeve Surplice Neck Dress priced at £19.
