Starfield Collector's Edition orice costs more than an Xbox Series S

We're getting another look at Starfield this weekend at the Xbox Starfield Direct and and leaks point to a special edition controller being revealed alongside three editions of the game – one of which costs hundreds of dollars.

Starfield fans are gearing up for the this weekend at Summer Game Fest where Microsoft and Bethesda will be showing off more details of the game during the Xbox Starfield Direct Sunday, June 11. We already know that the preceding Xbox Games Showcase will include information on Persona remakes, but now reputable leaker and dataminer billbil-kun has thrown another leak onto the pile with news of a Starfield Constellation edition. And the price tag comes in at more than an Xbox Series S!

According to billbil-kin, there will be three Starfield editions; a Standard edition, a Premium Edition, and the Constellation Edition, which is essentially a Collector's Edition of the game. The latter will apparently set you back €299.99 for both the PC and Xbox Series X versions which roughly translates to £257 / $322 / AU$478.

To put that into perspective, you can pick up an Xbox Series S for £230 / $282 / AU$499. So you can basically pick up an Xbox Series S for around the same price – if not cheaper! – than Microsoft's all-digital console.

How much?

Billbil-kun is confident that this information will drop at Sunday's Xbox Starfield Direct after the Xbox Games Showcase, speculating that pre-orders will go live afterwards. They've also leaked details of a Starfield Xbox Wireless Controller and Headset that are themed for the game.

Bear in mind that with software and hardware, regional pricing rarely translates this way, but it can give us a good idea of what to expect. Billbil-kun also notes that the Starfield Premium Edition prices are estimates at this time.

That's a pretty big ask, and we don't know what's going to be included in the Starfield Constellation just yet either. But if it's not a Starfield-themed Xbox Series S, you can count me out.
