Tara Reid says being unmarried and childless means you're judged in Hollywood
New Jersey-born actress Tara Reid has said that it has been hard for her to rid her "party girl" image after not getting married or welcoming children.
Tara, 47, has spoken out about how she has felt "judged" in Hollywood for being unmarried and without kids in her 40s, but added that she has "never been happier" and knows "true love" thanks to her dogs.
The blonde beauty, who is best-known for playing the role of Vicky in the films American Pie, American Pie 2, and American Reunion, said: "I think in Hollywood if you don’t have kids, and you’re not married, you’re judged."
Addressing her party girl image, Tara added that it can be hard to shake it off when you've not settled down in traditional terms.
"So, they still think you’re that party girl from 40 years ago," she said in a candid new interview, adding: "But, all of a sudden, if you have a kid and you get married, ‘Oh, she grew up, she is great.'
American Pie's Tara Reid, 47, wows in cut-out dress for dinner with male friend"But what if you can’t have kids? What if you don’t want to get married? You can’t judge people on that anymore."
Elsewhere in her new chat with Mr. Warburton Magazine, Tara also spoke about how she was targeted for being a party girl, with her urging that she did not do anything wrong.
She explained how she "never did sex tapes", urging: "I never did anything wrong."
"I’ve never even gotten a speeding ticket. But what I did get punished for is if I wasn’t shooting, I went to Europe right away. I’d be popping bottles, and I had a great time," she explained in the candid chat.
Tara went on to say that she feels as though she was "just someone to attack" because everything she did was on tape.
Speaking about departing Hollywood, Tara said: "It was pretty awful. And that’s why I left. It wasn’t because I was just a girl. It was because I was an easy target."
The actress also spoke about how she couldn't sue, which led to her having to "go away" and step out of the spotlight.
Tara, who is also known for playing Bunny Lebowski in The Big Lebowski and April Wexler in Sharknado, then touched on how "Hollywood needs to relax".
She believes that stars need to be left alone, with Hollywood needing to "relax on the whole getting married and baby thing."
Despite all that, she said she's "never been happier."
