It looks like Angels singer Robbie Williams is loving chainsaws instead.

The former Take That star, 49, is seeking permission to fell two healthy trees – a eucalyptus and a leylandii – at the back of his £17.5million mansion.

But Robbie may be facing yet another planning row. He was previously refused consent to trim a 70ft robinia tree at the West London home by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

And he fell out with Led Zeppelin neighbour Jimmy Page, 79, who blocked his plans for an underground swimming pool – claiming that vibrations from drilling could damage artwork in his Grade I-listed home.

Robbie also wanted to erect a two-storey fence and a giant Wendy house on stilts for his four kids. But residents argued it would block light to their gardens and spoil the surroundings.

Robbie, who splits his time between London and LA, bought the 47-room pad in Holland Park in 2013. It once belonged to Harry Potter actor Richard Harris – who outbid David Bowie to buy it.

Sir Elton John and the Beckhams also have homes in the area.

Robbie’s latest planning bid will be decided on by July 6.
