LeBron James was spotted attending the high-school graduation ceremony of his son, Bronny James, on Thursday.

Bronny graduated from Sierra Canyon school, and was at a ceremony in Chatsworth, California, to receive his diploma. His father and mother, Savannah, were in the crowd alongside the other attendees of the ceremony to watch their son graduate.

The Los Angeles Lakers star posted on his Instagram story a photo and a video from the ceremony. James posted a photo of his son in his graduation attire, accompanied with the caption: “Continue to fly high Young (King),” with a crown emoji.

The video in James’ post featured his son in the queue and receiving his diploma. A caption was also included which simply read: “Ayyyyyyeeeee!!!!!”

Bronny has already announced his decision to join USC when he goes to college. The son of the Lakers star is widely tipped to go to the NBA when he becomes eligible in 2024 and potentially link up with his father.

Before his decision was announced, Bronny was linked with a host of potential colleges to join after leaving high school. But it was eventually decided that he would stay in California to stay close to his family.

James has previously stated his wish to continue playing so he can one day share the court with his son in the NBA. However, that possibility was cast into doubt after what James said earlier in the week.

After the Lakers lost to the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals, James admitted that he wasn’t sure whether or not he would continue to play in the NBA next season. The 38-year-old is still under contract for another two years with the Lakers, in a deal worth around $97m.

“I don’t like to say it’s a successful year because I don’t play for anything besides winning championships at this point in my career,” James told reporters after the Game Four loss to the Nuggets earlier this week.

“I don’t get a kick out of making a conference (finals) appearance. I’ve done it, a lot. And it’s not fun to me to not be able to be a part of getting to the (NBA) Finals.

“But we’ll see. We’ll see. We’ll see what happens going forward. I don’t know. I don’t know. I’ve got a lot to think about, to be honest. Just for me, personally, going forward with the game of basketball, I’ve got a lot to think about.”

James has just finished his 20th season in the NBA, after he was drafted in 2003 with the number one overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has gone on to win three NBA titles and broke the record previously held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the all-time leading points scorer in February.
