Rolf Harris' widow Alwen is not aware her disgraced husband has died, according to sources.

The former entertainer died at his home on May 10, with neighbours telling the Mirror that they had been informed by a resident WhatsApp group after a private ambulance was spotted outside his residence.

But it's now claimed that Alwen who lives with dementia is unaware that the convicted paedophile has in fact died.

Alwen is receiving constant care and is in the latter stages of her condition but is still living at their shared residence in Berkshire, South West England.

It comes after Rolf's final conversation, during which he begged his daughter Bindi to look after her mother, was made public following his private cremation.

The former entertainer who was stripped of all his official recognition died surrounded by his family, four years after he was released from prison after being convicted of child sex offences.

Ahead of his death, the Australian-born had been left requiring round-the-clock care and was being fed via a feeding tube while battling neck cancer.

Following his death, his final conversation with their daughter Bindi was made public, with Harris saying: "I always believed we would go on longer together but, if I go first, promise you'll take good care of your mum."

A residents' WhatsApp group for members of the estate's Fisheries Residents' Association, seen by the Mirror, wished Rolf "RIP" in messages.

One neighbour told the Mirror: "People around here were very conscious of what happened last time (when the Mirror revealed Rolf had walked into a local schoolyard) so they wanted it to remain quiet until all the members of his family and close friends learned about it."

Harris was convicted in 2014 and sentenced to six years and nine months in jail for 12 indecent assaults on four underage girls between 1968 and 1986.

He was released from prison in 2017 – part-way through a re-trial on four accusations of indecent assault.

In November 2017, he appeared at the Court of Appeal in London to try and overturn his convictions and had one overturned. However, the other 11 convictions remain.

The former TV star reportedly hired a private investigator, who was said to be gathering 'dirt' to discredit his victims.

However, in 2019, it was reported the disgraced TV personality had decided to abandon the bid to clear his name.

Last week, his official death certificate was released confirming he died of neck cancer and "frailty of old age".

Hours later, a lawyer for the family issued a statement reading: "Rolf Harris recently died peacefully surrounded by family and friends and has now been laid to rest.

“They ask that you respect their privacy. No further comment will be made."
