Smith Schuster sends Valentine's Day message to Eagles star after Super Bowl win
Kansas City Chiefs star Juju Smith-Schuster has aimed a Valentine's Day dig at Philadelphia Eagles cornerback James Bradberry, after his late flag essentially handed them the win at Super Bowl LVII.
The Chiefs beat the Eagles 38-35 in Arizona on Sunday as quarterback Patrick Mahomes picked up his second Super Bowl crown, with Harrison Butker's late field goal enough to separate the sides. However, a late holding flag on Bradberry allowed the Chiefs to run down the clock as the game drew to a close.
Mahomes failed to convert on third down, and the Eagles thought they'd have two minutes with the ball to either attempt to force overtime, or even win the Super Bowl. But a hold from Bradberry on Smitch-Schuster gave the Chiefs a fresh set of downs, and the receiver has sent him a message on Valentine's Day.
Smith-Schuster sent a cheeky Valentine's message on Tuesday, as he tweeted: "Happy Valentine’s Day, everybody." The message itself was fine, but it was attached with a picture.
The picture was of a Valentine's card, with the words "I'll hold you when it matters most," written inside. It also contained a picture of Bradberry in his Eagles jersey, who perhaps isn't feeling the love.

It was one of the best Super Bowl's in recent history as there were a total of nine touchdowns, 73 points, fumbles and more during an action-packed evening. The Chiefs came out on top, but the late penalty could have been avoided, and changed everything.
Due to the significance of the decision, neutral fans were distraught as they felt it impacted what was expected to be a stunning finale to the game. But Bradberry even admitted after the game that the officials got it right.

But the officials called it, and after the Chiefs ran down the clock, they kicked the game-winning field goal with just eight seconds left. The Eagles failed to score on their final possession of the game, and the Chiefs won in Arizona.
Not even three touchdowns from Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts were enough, despite the fact they led in each of the first three quarters. The Chiefs came back in the final 15 minutes to claim the win, just like they did against the San Francisco 49ers at the end of the 2019 season.
