Joe Swash knew Stacey was 'the one' after drunken and vomit-filled night out
Joe Swash has detailed the incredibly sweet way in which he finally made a move on Stacey Solomon after he felt an instant spark between them after they met on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2010.
The former EastEnders actor, 41, fell head over heels for the former X Factor star, 33, and knew that he had to show his interest in her after they went their separate ways when I'm A Celeb was nearing the end of their series.
The pair became close friends but didn't date until years later because Stacey was already in a relationship at the time of their first encounter.
Joe later admitted that he fancied Stacey, but knew the timing wasn't right - until it was.
Former soap star Joe had returned to Australia to host the spin-off series, I'm a Celebrity: Extra Camp, and first crossed paths with Stacey when he gave her a congratulatory hug just moments after she was crowned Queen of the Jungle.
Sue Cleaver feels 'more empowered' as she labels her 50s her 'happiest decade'Soon after, Joe said he realised that he had feelings for Stacey, who would later go on to become his wife and the mother of three of his children.
Opening up about their love story during the latest episode of I'm A Celebrity... South Africa Unseen Bits, the former Mickey Miller actor said that after their first date, he knew that nothing that Stacey could ever do would ever turn him off her.
The pair had been on a dinner date, and they ended up having one too many glasses of red wine.
During the heartfelt I'm A Celebrity scene, where Joe gushed over his beloved wife, he said that Stacey wasn't used to drinking alcohol, and wasn't a big drinker, and as soon as they were back in Joe's place, things took a turn for the worst.
Stacey and Joe raced up the stairs, but unfortunately, all the food and wine started to 'rattle around' in Stacey's stomach and she ended up puking all over Joe's walls and all over his carpets too.
But the romantic star said that he knew then that Stacey was the one for him.
"I realised that nothing she could ever do would ever turn me off her. She is just so lovely," Joe gushed to his fellow campmates.
Joe and Stacey welcomed their third child together this year - a little girl called Belle.
The lovebirds are also proud parents to Rex, 3, and Rose, one.
Meanwhile, Stacey shares sons Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 11, with partners from previous relationships.
