A man who was once too shy to speak to women says he has seen his confidence skyrocket after splashing approximately £19,800 on a cosmetic surgery transformation.

As a younger man, Marcello Cantu had been so painfully shy that he was unable to look at a woman without turning 'bright red', while his social life was 'non-existent'.

Determined to give his confidence a boost, Marcello, now 31, decided to pursue plastic surgery, opting for two hair transplants, two nose jobs, and a fat transfer on his left eye. He also chose to get both his ears pinned back and reduced.

Keen to get everything done in one go, businessman Marcello, who has made his money through e-commerce and cryptocurrency, flew to Turkey for the procedures at the end of 2021 and despite having endured a gruelling three-month recovery period, he hasn't looked back since.

Marcello, who says he never went on dates back in high school, said: "I wanted to be somebody different and thought changing my outside appearance would do that.

"Once I did all those things women started throwing themselves at me - I'm literally fighting them off. It was kind of already happening when the business took off and I got a presence online, which showed off an active lifestyle.

"But it was a night and day difference when I had the surgery; the women went from being 7s and 8s to 9s and upwards."

As well as going under the knife, Marcello started hitting the gym and also switched to a high-protein diet as a means of bulking up.

He ended up looking so different that, upon trying to renew his passport, he received a call double-checking whether or not he had sent in the right photograph.

Fortunately, Marcello was able to prove he wasn't an 'imposter', as they'd initially suspected, by showing his surgery photos, and the document was returned in time for his holiday to Tulum, Mexico, in September 2022.

Marcello continued: "If you are good-looking, have status and social media, and are a respectful nice guy - you make the top 1% of income - you have got it made.

"I'm just determined to enjoy my life and make the most of the opportunities that are put in front of me."
