BBC Springwatch set to get huge shake-up as latest series returns
Popular BBC programme Springwatch is set to get a big shakeup as it returns to screens for another series.
The nature show will make a comeback but this time it will be broadcast from a new location.
Last year, Springwatch aired from bases at Wild Ken Hill in Norfolk and the Isle of Mull in Scotland, as well as roving reports from across the North of England.
Yet this year's is set to come from RSPB Arne in Dorset.
The nature centres come alive at this time of year with rare breeding birds, specialised heathland insects and all six of the UK’s native species of reptiles.

The series will return on BBC2 from Monday 29th May for three weeks of live reporting.
Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan, Iolo Williams and Gillian Burke will host Springwatch (BBC/Jo Charlesworth)Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan will report from the show's base, while Iolo Williams will be roaming Dorset.
In a show first, there will be more than 30 remote cameras – each hoping to capture the drama of spring as it unfolds.
Rosemary Edwards, Executive Producer of Springwatch said: “We are excited to bring this year’s Springwatch live from RSPB Arne, at the heart of Purbeck Heaths, home to an astonishing array of wildlife, from birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects and more.
"We hope that audiences will have a chance to learn something new about their favourite species, or even discover new ones.
"We hope that this year’s programmes will inspire more people to explore the beautiful and diverse nature we have in the UK, and encourage them to learn how they can make a difference too."
The news excited many viewers including the new hosts, RSPB Arne who said: "We're really excited to welcome you to @RSPBArne in Dorset :)."
The programme is coming from a new location (BBC/Jo Charlesworth)"Whooppeeeeee!!! So looking forward to having @ChrisGPackham & Team back again with this fabulous show!! This programme is vital to our wildlife, environment & biodiversity," quipped a fan.
Another added: "Looking forward to this. I predict that White Tailed Eagles And Osprey will be making appearances on the show over the three weeks."
Just last month host Chris Packham called on gardeners to lead the march to protect UK wildlife, calling them “the secret weapon” against the devastating decline of our native species.

He said: “Wildlife is under threat, but we all have the power to change that.
“Gardens are our sanctuary, but they are also thriving ecosystems providing homes, shelter and food for a huge range of animals.”
