All Great Fairy Fountain locations in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild players will be all too familiar with the game's Great Fairy Fountains, which are back for the sequel, you'll need to visit them yet again to beef up your armour.
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is home to four Great Fairy Fountains, just like Zelda: Breath of the Wild before it. But rather than being roused by the promise of thousands of Rupees, you unlock the Great Fairy Fountains in Tears of the Kingdom with a serenade; although you'll need to tick off a handful of quests involving a traveling musical troupe called The Stable Trotters.
You won't be able to interact with the troupe unless you become a reporter for The Lucky Clover Gazette which kicks off a series of side quests. So first thing's first: make sure you're prepared for the journey to Rito Village, located to the south of Hebra Mountains. You'll need some form of cold resistance to get there safely, so cook up some toasty meals and make sure you've grabbed the Archaic Greaves (part of the ).
The Lucky Clover Gazette location is close to the broken bridge leading to Rito Village, on the east side of Lake Totori. Speak to Penn and Traysi to kick off the Potential Princess Sightings questline, and learn more about Great Fairies. With that done, we can start out on our journey to find all Great Fairy Fountain locations in Tears of the Kingdom and which order to visit them in.
There are four Great Fairy Fountains to visit in the game, which are home to Great Fairy Tera, Great Fairy Mija, Great Fairy Cotera, and Great Fairy Kaysa. The Great Fairy Fountain locations are all close to stables and are easy to spot thanks to the purple clouds of smoke floating above them.

Once you unlock all four Great Fairy Fountains in Tears of the Kingdom, you can fully upgrade all of your armour sets, as long as you have the necessary Rupees and materials. Activation Skyview Towers will make things easier as well, given all of the steps involved in this questline.
Great Fairy Tera
The Great Fairy Tera is the first Great Fairly Fountain location you'll visit as part of your new vocation as a reporter for The Lucky Clover Gazette during the Serenade to a Great Fairy quest. Head to the Woodland Stable located to the east of Hyrule Castle, on the west side of Pico Pond. It's here that you'll meet The Stable Trotters, who want to serenade the Great Fairy Tera – but wouldn't you know it, their cart is broken.
You can easily use Ultrahand to pop the spare wheels on the cart, and then you need to grab a horse and a Towing Harness. The harness costs three Pony Points; this is a new feature in the Breath of the Wild sequel that'll see you earn points when using stables to sleep, register horses, speaking to the stablemaster etc. You can redeem Pony Points for various rewards using the Pony Points Ledger at the stable check-in desks.
With a horse and harness in place, speak to the troupe again, and follow the map marker to the Great Fairy Tera. She's now available to upgrade Link's armour, and even goes so far as to share the other three Great Fairy locations with you.
Great Fairy Mija
Great Fairy Mija is the next one to visit on the list, because the items you pick up will come in handy for unlocking the Great Fairy Cotera, making this entire Great Fairy questline a whole lot more convenient. The Great Fairy Mija's location is on a mountain slope just to the north of Snowfield Stable in Tabantha Tundra.
Speak to The Stable Trotters at Snowfield Stable and they'll task Link with finding missing hornist Eustus. Head west from the stable to find Eustus trapped in a giant crater along with this wagon, between Nero Hill and the Rayne Highlands. Talking to him kicks off the The Hornist’s Dramatic Escape quest, and all you need to do to complete it and rescue Eustus is use Ultrahand to assemble the parts in the pit and airlift Eustus and his wagon out of there.
Use a metal tile to act as a roof on top of the wagon. Add a fan that will power it forward. Use two balloons with dragon heads in the basket to get the lift you need. Combine the three components on top of the roof, get Eustus in position, and whack your contraption to get him out of the hole. Eustus will reward you with three courser bee honey for your trouble before making his own way back to the troupe. We need that honey for the next fairy, so hang onto it.
Head back to Snowfield Stable, and give the troupe's carriage a roof using any square-shaped material lying around and putting it in place with Ultrahand. Now you just need to take the troupe to the Great Fairy Mija up the side of the mountain.
Great Fairy Cotera
The Great Fairy Cotera location is near Dueling Peaks Stable to the west of their craggy namesakes, and this time it's the missing drummer Beetz you need to wrangle. He can be found to the southeast of Kakariko Village, to the north of the stables, and south of Bonooru’s Stand. You'll hear the sound of drums as you approach the alcove he's tucked away in.
Beetz wants three courser bee honey before he'll agree to return to the troupe, and if you kept the reward from Eustus, you'll already have some on you! If not, look for bee hives around chasm near Kakariko Village to find the honey instead.

Once you've got Beetz's honey, hand it over and head back to Dueling Peaks Stable. The trope needs your hand getting across the river, although they won't readily admit it. Make a boat using Ultrahand to combine the boards, fans, and steering lever and pop it on the water with the wagon attached before telling everyone to hop on board. Sail north to the Great Fairy Fountain where you'll find the Great Fairy Cotera.
Great Fairy Kaysa
The Great Fairy Kaysa location is near Outskirt Stable, to the southwest of Lookout Landing. Missing FlutistPyper is who you'll need to find to tick the final Great Fairy Fountain off the list. You can find him at Highland Stable to the south of Lake Hylia, but he's perched in a tree so don't waste time looking at ground level. You'll hear his flute, and the patch of singed grass near the tree will tip you off to his location.
Pyper's demands are 10 Sunset Fireflies which you can find in the forests to the north during the night (Finra Woods or Pagos Woods), as well as buying them from merchants. You can rest at the stable to move the clock along, and I'd aim for any time post midnight. The Sensor+ upgrade for Link's Purah Pad will also come in handy for this quest.
Once you've collected the Sunset Fireflies, do as Pyper asks and find Hiate in the stable at night and lead her to the tree. You'll get a Big Hearty Truffle as a rewards from the flutist.
Head back to Outskirt Stable and use Ultrahand to solve the troupe's next problem. You'll need to attach the missing wheel to the giant stone slab that already has three stuck onto it. Pop the cart onto the slab along with a lever and have the troupe hop on. Drive over the rocks and straight to the fountain to unlock the Great Fairy Kaysa.
And that's all four of the Tears of the Kingdom Great Fairy Fountain locations unlocked! Now you can save your Rupees and materials to start upgrading your armour.
