Urgent appeal to find missing girl, 13, as Met becomes 'increasingly concerned'

Police are desperately appealing to find a 13-year-old girl who has been missing for five days.

Mariama was last seen around East Street in Walworth, London on February 9, 2023 and police are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.

Lambeth police have released a photo of the black teenager who has her hair tied back in cornrows.

The appeal was released on Twitter five days after the minor's disappearance last week.

The tweet read: "We are increasingly concerned about the welfare of 13-year-old Mariama, who has been #missing since 9 February.

"She was last seen around East Street in Walworth, London."

Police are urging anyone with information to contact the Met quoting reference 23MIS004519.

After the publication of this story Mariama was found on February 20, 2023.
