Shakira says she has no plans to become the next Mrs Tom Cruise amid speculation the two stars are a couple.

The Hips Don't Like singer, 45, split from Spanish football player Gerard Piqué last year and has been publicly single ever since, while Tom, 60, hasn't enjoyed a high-profile relationship since his divorce from ex-wife Katie Holmes in 2012.

Tom and Shakira sparked rumours of a budding romance over the weekend, as they posed for photos together on the edge of the Miami Grand Prix race barrier over in America.

The pair were in Miami to cheer on British racing sensation Lewis Hamilton as speculation began that Tom was "very interested" in pursuing a romance with the Colo mbian chart-topper.

However, an insider has now revealed that while Shakira enjoyed spending some time with Tom, the mum-of-two has no interest in dating anyone at the moment.

"Shakira had a great time hanging out with Tom at F1 but she has no interest in dating him," the source told US Weekly.

"He was really nice and she enjoyed his company, but she isn’t focused on dating him or anybody else at the moment.

"She has a lot on her plate and is focused on her kids and career for now."

Shakira and Gerard, who share sons, Milan and Sasha, together, shocked fans when they issued a joint statement on June 6, 2022, announcing the end of their romance.

"We regret to confirm that we are separating," the exes began saying, "For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we request respect for our privacy. Thank you for your understanding."

While the joint statement seemed amicable, things quickly turned sour.

Savage diss tracks, jam jars, witch dolls, Renault Twingo cars and more bizarre items feature in the fallout between the former couple, with former Barcelona player Gerard moving on from Shakira with a new woman, 22-year-old Clara Chia Marti.

Meanwhile, Tom is yet to go public with a new partner following his 2012 split from ex-wife Katie, who he shares daughter Suri Cruise, 16, with.

It's thought the Top Gun actor plays no part in his youngest child's life, with controversial religion the Church of Scientology said to be the reason behind the estrangement.

According to their divorce documents, Mission Impossible actor Tom agreed to pay Dawson's Creek star Katie $400,000 a year until Suri turned 18 years old.

The documents also reveal that the 60-year-old actor agreed to pay all of Suri's expenses, including 'medical, dental, insurance, education, college and other extracurricular costs.'

"Tom has always maintained his responsibilities when it comes to financial obligations to Katie and Suri," a source told DailyMail.com.

However, it's thought Tom has not seen Suri since 2013, one year on from his divorce from mum-of-one Katie.
