Red-faced Lorraine blindsided by raunchy texts from husband during live show
Lorraine Kelly was left blushing on Thursday morning as Good Morning Britain host Ben Shephard quizzed her on a story in the day’s papers - which involved her husband's saucy texts.
Ben and co-host Susanna Reid were hosting the breakfast programme when they crossed over to Lorraine’s studio in the ITV building to hear what she had coming on the programme.
Yet Ben used the opportunity to pick up one of the day’s papers and tell the 63-year-old TV presenter about a story involving her and husband Steve Smith.
The Tipping Point presenter said: “It would appear he’s very generous with his affections while you’re on air.
“He often likes to say how wonderful you’re looking in the morning in an affectionate way.”

She explained: “Sometimes he does say ‘Nice boobs’,” before asking of the newspaper story: “How did they get hold of that? Where did that come from? Have I been talking too much again?”
Ben admitted it could have been her husband and TV cameraman Steve, who Lorraine has been married to since 1992 after the pair met when he worked as her cameraman on TV-am.
Susanna gushed: “As we’re coming up to Valentine’s Day, how lovely. Your husband still texts you to say ‘Nice boobs’.”
Ben then said: “Next time Lorraine’s on her show and she looks down at her phone, it could be Steve sending a little message.”
Lorraine donned a button up dress with a geometric design, which she pointed to as she replied: “This dress isn’t going to get any comments from him this morning though, Ben.”
“I’m sure he will send you something lovely regardless,” Ben replied.
Susanna added: “You always look fab Lorraine. There are lots of serious issues, so it’s nice to have a moment of joy.”
Lorraine last year admitted she was a touch hungover as she presented her ITV morning show, after a weekend of celebrating her 30th wedding anniversary.

She said: “My little brother came over from Singapore with his lovely girlfriend Anisa. So many people were there and I had absolutely no idea. It was lovely.
“All the attention to detail – even the flowers Rosie had done were the flowers that were in my bouquet 30 years ago. It was so lovely.”
