The 2023 NFL schedule will be released very soon as each franchise gets ready to see what will be ahead of them.

It has been confirmed that the full schedule for the 2023 season will be released at 1am UK time on Friday, May 12 (8pm ET on Thursday, May 11). This will see all 17 regular season games announced for all 32 teams.

Rumours emerged over the weekend that there could be a delay to the release of the 2023 regular season schedule. However, it was confirmed by the National Football League that the plan for the scheduled announcement would go ahead.

The 2023 season is scheduled to begin on September 7 with a Thursday Night Football, before the regular season concludes on January 7, 2024. Super Bowl LVIII will take place on Sunday, February 11 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada - home of the Las Vegas Raiders.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell met with officials on Monday to finalise the regular season schedule including some of the big games. Eyes will be looking out for some high-profile players, including Aaron Rodgers with the New York Jets and No.1 pick Bryce Young with the Carolina Panthers, among others.

In total, the full schedule will see 272 different matchups in total. Each team will play their divisional rivals twice, home and away, with a further 11 more games against teams from across the rest of the NFL.

The schedules for all 32 teams will be released on NFL.com, the NFL app and NFL+ this Thursday. Before that, though, some other games will be announced, including some rather big changes for the first time ever.

The international games for London and Munich will be announced on Wednesday, May 10, via the NFL Network and ESPN. These games are expected to take place in October and November later this year.

Last season saw the Minnesota Vikings vs New Orleans Saints, New York Giants vs Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos vs Jacksonville Jaguars selected to take place in London. The Germany game was the Seattle Seahawks vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Additionally, the Black Friday games will be announced for the first time ever, via Amazon. It will be the first time that any matches will have been played on that day in NFL history.

There will also be selected individual games announced, via Fox & Friends and CBS Mornings, on Wednesday. Further individual matches will also be released ahead of the full schedule on Thursday, via the Today Show and Good Morning America.
