Coronation Concert viewers spotted an irony of a particular song performed at Windsor Castle on Sunday.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla led senior members of the family in the royal box, as they saw the likes of Katy Perry and Take That perform the day after the coronation.

During the two hour long celebration, classical musicians Andrea Bocelli and Sir Bryn Terfel's took to the stage for a rousing rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone.

The performance amused social media users with some hailing it a savage response to Liverpool fans who booed the national anthem on the coronation day.

Fans of the football team booed God Save The King before their team played Brentford in the Premier League.

Coronation concert viewers rushed to Twitter after Andrea and Sir Bryn performed You'll Never Walk Alone to joke about the irony.

Some even suggested that the King chose the song as a tongue-in-cheek response to the footie fans.

“Not them singing you’ll never walk alone after the Scousers booed the national anthem”, said one woman, alongside two images of Charles in hysterics.

“Singing you’ll never walk alone at the #CoronationConcert oh the Liverpool and Celtic fans will love this”, said another.

Another user posted: “I won’t lie. It is hilarious Andrea Bocelli singing you’ll never walk alone at the kings concert the day after we booed the anthem.”

The concert saw the likes of Paloma Faith, Olly Murs, Katy Perry and more perform for King Charles and the Royal Family.

While fans of the Royal Family loved the lavish show at Windsor Castle to celebrate the Coronation, some cheeky social media users couldn't help but notice a few rather cringy comments and awkward blunders during the state-funded bash.

From Miss Piggy and Kermit making an appearance to Olly Murs debuting an American accent, there were a lot of awkward moments.

Some people even took to Twitter to announce they were switching off.

‌"Just like the Coronation, I will not be watching the concert. Apart from anything else, the line up is execrable, as you might expect. So, Take That! #CoronationConcert,” one non-viewed told their followers.

‌"They had to do some digging in the career graveyard for this lineup #CoronationConcert,” another added, as a third quipped: "He’s the king of england this is the best lineup he could get #CoronationConcert."
