Friends of Clint Eastwood are said to be concerned at the star's lack of public appearances of late.

It's been over a year since the Hollywood legend was last seen out in public, leading some of those people close to him to be worried about his health.

The Gran Torino star will turn 93 later this month and is set to begin filming on his final film, a thrilled titled Juror No 2. He will star alongside the likes of Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette in the feature.

However, with filming to start next month, there is growing concern about the lack of appearances he is making in the run-up.

It's been over 450 days since he was last spotted out and about and some fear it could mean his health is declining.

One source told Radar Online: "Clint has always enjoyed great health and been vital and active despite his advancing age, but the fact that he hasn't been around as much lately has a lot of people in Hollywood worried about him.

"It's hard to imagine him in anything other than fine form but Father Time catches up to all of us."

The insider confessed that the icon often takes on a large workload, especially for someone of his age.

"People do worry about his health," they added. "He's the director, but he's also involved in every other aspect like the casting and he'll likely compose the score as he's done on his other films."

It's thought that the latest upcoming flick will be his last and he had previously admitted to having "flirted with the idea" of retiring from Hollywood for good.

"I never did get to that day when I said I'd quit," he previously admitted. "I've flirted with the idea a lot lately, but every once in a while, a script comes along, and I think, 'That's a challenge that I haven't been able to do before."

The insider claimed Clint was happy he got the go-ahead for his new film but doesn't expect it to happen again.

"He wants to do this movie as a swan song and go out in a blazing sunset," they spilled, adding he wasn't happy at his last production's apparent flop in theatres.
