Amber Heard has reportedly relocated to Spain, with it also suggested that she isn't in "any hurry to return to work".

The actor, 37, is said to have moved to the country with her two-year-old daughter Oonagh, after having reportedly sold her home in Yucca Valley, California, just last year.

It comes after they were spotted in Majorca towards the end of last year, with a local saying at the time that Amber " leads a very normal village life, as if she were a native."

She's however now said to have "permanently" moved to somewhere outside of Madrid, with it suggested that Amber "has quit Hollywood and quietly relocated to Spain".

According to the Daily Mail, a source claimed: "She's bilingual in Spanish and is happy there, raising her daughter away from all the noise."

The source went on to add: "I don't think she is in any hurry to return to work or to Hollywood, but she will probably come back when the time is right for the right project."

Her rumoured relocation comes following the defamation trial in the US between her and Johnny Depp, 59, last year - which centred on her op-ed about domestic violence.

Amber's ex-husband Johnny argued that the Washington Post article from 2018 implied he had abused her and it was claimed that the piece had impacted his ability to work.

The jury found in favour of Johnny and awarded him $15 million in damages. It however was reduced to around $10 million due to a cap in Virginia, where the case was heard.

The jury in the trial last year also found in favour of one of Amber's counterclaims, which related to remarks made about her. She was awarded $2 million in damages.

Amber had initially suggested that she would appeal the trial's verdict, though it was announced in December last year that the former couple had settled the case.

The trial came around two years after Johnny had lost a separate libel case in the UK in 2020 over a different article that had referred to him as a "wife beater".

Although Amber is reportedly taking a break from acting, she's set to appear in the upcoming film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom - which is due to be released in December.

She reprises her role as Mera in the project - which is understood to have been primarily filmed in 2021 - after having played the DC Comics character in Aquaman (2018).

More recently, the actor reportedly worked on the supernatural thriller In the Fire. Amber is understood to have filmed scenes for the upcoming project just last year.
