The Prime Gaming free games lineup for May offers members the ability to fly an X-Wing, battle armies of robots and test their samurai skills.

Prime Gaming May 2023’s selection of games has been officially unveiled, with 15 new titles releasing throughout the entire month beginning from Star Wars Day itself – Thursday, May 4 – all the way through to Thursday, May 25. It matches the number of titles that were available as part of Prime Gaming April 2023 ’s lineup, so it’s good to see that Amazon Prime subscribers are continuing to get treated to a bevvy of eclectic experiences once again.

In celebration of Star Wars Day – when Prime Gaming May 2023 kicks off – members will instantly be able to jump into classic space flight game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D. Originally released for PC in 1998, players are tasked with mastering the ability of interplanetary combat by entering the cockpit of various classic Star Wars vehicles from both a first and third-person perspective.

Set firmly within the events of the original trilogy, you’ll team up with Luke Skywalker, Wedge Antilles and more in the effort to defeat the Empire’s forces from both above and at ground level. It's the perfect title to get you in the mood for the brand new Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, launching Friday, April 28. The game is fantastic, earning five stars in my review.

Also worth a look a week later on Thursday, May 11 is Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition – a souped-up version of the classic PC tactical roleplaying game set in the Sigil corner of the Dungeons and Dragons universe. Played out from an isometric perspective, you’ll gather up your party of heroes in the effort to solve puzzles and plough through an estimated 50 plus hours of story-rich escapades. The graphics are a little creaky by today’s standards, but there’s no better way to experience what many players consider a masterpiece of the RPG genre.

Point-and-click adventure fans will want to pay attention towards the end of the month when Agatha Knife joins the lineup from Thursday, May 25, being a cutesy but surprisingly twisted adventure centred on a young girl’s story to balance her relationship between eating meat, and animals.

This is the same day that fan-favourite wrestling and fighting game mashup King of the Monster 2 also becomes available. In it, you’ll need to travel the planet battling giant alien monsters that threaten the future of Earth – all in beautiful pixel-perfect fashion.
