After impressing at college level, 21-year-old Bryce Young is set to become one of the NFL 's hottest names, with the quarterback tipped to have quite the career at the pinnacle of American football.

Young lit up the college scene during his two years at Alabama, and on the back of his success has been backed to be the No. 1 pick in this week's 2023 NFL draft. As a result Young is expected to head to the Carolina Panthers, with Frank Reich's team receiving the first overall pick on Thursday.

Despite being just 21-years-old and yet to break onto the NFL scene, the quarterback still dons an impressive net worth, which is only about to get bigger.

What is Bryce Young's net worth?

Ahead of Young's mega-money move to the NFL, the Alabama college star currently dons a net worth of £2.4million ($3m), according to CA Knowledge. In 2021 the NCAA allowed athletes to cash in on earnings made via 'outside endorsements' instead of profits going to their university.

Unsurprisingly Young has been one of the main beneficiaries from the change in policy, after announcing himself as one of the biggest college sports stars. Money made through their name and image are known as NIL deals at college level, and Young has cashed in on many.

Of course it was the University of Alabama who lured Young in, and the rest was history. During his Alabama career, he wrote himself into the school's record books, holding the Alabama record for the most passing yards in a single game, after completing 559.

Bryce Young's NFL prospects

Young is expected to be the first pick of Thursday's draft for a reason, having been backed to enjoy quite the career in the NFL. The 21-year-old expected to be the Panthers' opening pick, and one of franchise's greatest players in Steve Smith Sr had high praise for the youngster.

Speaking after Young's performance after his pro day workout back in March, Smith said: "He processes at another level... he's not a guy you wanna pass up.

"Young's play style and ability to make stellar throws outside of the pocket has drawn comparisons to Patrick Mahomes, while the main question mark around him is if his smaller frame will be able to hold up to the physical beating it will take in the NFL."
