Prince Harry has been making "homesick" calls to his father seeking "reassurances" ahead of his visit to the UK for the Coronation, it's been revealed.

The 38-year-old is said to be worried about security arrangements and “where would he be placed within any kind of seating plan”, the Mirror's royal editor Russell Myers has said.

He has been seeking 'seeking reassurances' from King Charles and is also 'homesick', according to Myers, who was speaking to Sky News Australia.

"He’s homesick, he does miss his family,” Mr Myers told Sky News Australia.

It is believed some royals hope the Coronation will help mend bridges between Harry and the family following his explosive memoir, Spare and recent interviews.

But Myers said he finds it difficult to believe Harry will be looking to rekindle relationships given some of the comments he's made about his relatives.

“It’s very hard to see how that marriages up with his attitude,” he said

Former royal butler Paul Burrell says Harry will be sitting 'ten rows back' during the ceremony and is probably 'not going to hang around'. Some royal insiders say he may only be in the country 24 hours.

While Harry attends the Coronation, Meghan will be celebrating Archie's 4th birthday - which falls on the same day.

She has planned a 'low-key' bash for her son, it's been revealed.

"They'll have friends around them and Meghan's mom, Doria [Ragland]. Meghan will definitely have support that weekend," the source told People magazine.

Naturally, little sister Lilibet will also be part of the celebrations.

"They are so sweet together. Archie loves Lili. He's such a sweet boy. When she's not around, he asks, 'Where's Lili?' " the source adds.

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet last visited the UK for the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June last year. It was little Lilibet's first ever trip to her father's homeland.

A source told People at the time it was a "fantastic visit", where Lilibet, who was born on June 4, 2021, met Charles and the Queen for the first time.

They said it was "very emotional" and a 'wonderful thing" for Charles to see his granddaughter.
