King Charles was the 'only royal to speak to Meghan after Oprah interview'
The King was reportedly the only person to speak to Meghan Markle after Prince Harry and the Duchess's infamous TV interview with Oprah Winfrey.
It is understood that the Duchess of Sussex wrote to King Charles III after the interview, in which she is said to have expressed concerns about unconscious bias in the family.
Harry and Meghan claimed in the interview that one member of the Royal Family had made a comment speculating on the skin colour of the couple's first child.
Meghan felt she did not receive a satisfactory response to the allegation made and this is one factor in her decision not to attend the Coronation next month.
The day of the Coronation is also her son Archie's fourth birthday, however.

It was never made clear who was behind the alleged comment, but the the identity of the person who made the comment is contained in the letters, a source told The Telegraph.
Meghan is said to have thanked the King for his words and accepted that the comment was made without malice. In response, she is believed to have said she did not wish to accuse the unnamed individual of racism, but was raising concerns about unconscious bias.
Despite that, it is understood Meghan still feels the comment was indeed racist.
The Duke of Sussex will be in attendance but will play a limited role, amid reports of an attempted reconciliation with father and son.
It is currently believed Harry will be sitting with other non-working members of the royals, such as Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie and their husbands, whom he is said to have no bad blood with.
He is not expected to take part in either the King’s Procession or the Coronation Procession to and from Buckingham Palace, nor will he be on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
The contents of the letter are unconfirmed, but the King is believed to have expressed sadness over the rift that had emerged within The Firm.
The Oprah interview caused shockwaves among The Firm and came after the Sussexes' departure from working royal life following a fallout with the rest of the family.
They also stated that both their mental health suffered due to negative press at the time.
