Woman 'mum-shamed' for asking simple question in school parent WhatsApp group
A mum is fuming after a simple question she asked in a parenting WhatsApp group chat was met with a very passive-aggressive reply.
The woman was just asking the group to clarify something that was said previously so she could make sure her kids would not miss out on anything.
But, in response, another parent blasted her and said that if people were going to be asking stupid questions then she would be leaving the group.
Taking to Mumsnet, the woman asked if she was being unreasonable in asking the simple question, or if the other mum was in the wrong for lambasting her.

"There was some chat on there about registering for something for the kids for September and I didn't know what it was so asked sorry, what website do I need to register on what’s it for please?"
Nobody replied for a little while but then another parent slammed her for asking the question.
She wrote: "No one replied and then about an hour later someone wrote: oh god, it's not going to be one of those groups where people ask stupid questions and no one can do a thing for themselves is it? If so I'm leaving! And immediately loads of other parents liked the comment leaving me feeling so awkward.
"Someone eventually replied it was to register for a school book bag you need to pay for."
She asked other parents on the forum if she was in the wrong by asking for a simple clarification.
In response, many have been on her side and feel the other parent was definitely acting unreasonably to what was a very simple request.
One person wrote: "Just ignore them or write back saying sorry as I've just been added into the chat I didn't see any of the conversation previously so just wondered what was going on incase I had missed something important"
While another stated: "Thank the person who replied to you helpfully, tell the other person that it was a simple question and you're sorry they couldn't answer."
