Kevin Spacey appears in court via video link for twelve sexual offence charges
Oscar winning actor Kevin Spacey, who has been accused of twelve sexual offences, some dating back 22 years, appeared in court on Friday via video link.
The 63-year-old American Beauty star faces eight allegations of sexual assault, three indecent assaults and a charge of causing a man to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent, a court heard.
Spacey is charged with offences involving grabbing, squeezing, and touching of the victim's genitals and buttocks over clothing, according to the indictment.
The alleged offences relate to four victims with three indecent assaults and four sexual assaults dating between 2001 and 2004 and the other five offences range from between 2005 to 2013.
Spacey, who wore a grey suit, white shirt and burgundy tie, spoke only to confirm his name and to confirm he could hear the court.

Prosecutor Ms Christine Agnew, KC, told the court: "The 28 June trial date remains with a four-week time estimate and both parties are expected to be ready with a jury on day one."
The two-time Oscar winner starred in Glengarry Glen Ross, Seven, LA Confidential and Baby Driver. He also had the lead role in the Netflix series House of Cards.
In July last year he became the first Hollywood star to appear at the Old Bailey, facing four charges of sexual assault and one charge of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.
These charges are said to have been carried out against three men.

Another three of the charges relate to sexual assault, all on the same victim, on dates unknown between 1 May 2004 and 24 June 2005, and one of the charges relates to causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent on a date between 1 May 2004 and 24 June 2005.
Spacey denies all charges and earlier, defence barrister Patrick Gibbs, KC had said Spacey "strenuously denies any and all criminality in this case" while the actor has vowed to "establish his innocence".
Spacey's trial date for the first five sex attacks and the additional seven has been set for 28 June 2023, to be heard at Southwark Crown Court and it is estimated to last four weeks.
Justice Wall told the Oscar-winning actor: "That concludes the hearing today. There may be another hearing before trial and you may be able to attend that remotely unless your counsel direct you otherwise."

He was granted unconditional bail ahead of his next court appearance at Southwark crown court.
